Wellness areas in the Black Forest Hotel

Soft brine water at a pleasant 30 degrees surrounds you in the large saltwater swimming pool at the Alpenblick wellness hotel in the southern Black Forest. The water has a brine content of 1.5 %. You can activate the various jets (wild water spring, massage jets) and bubble loungers yourself. The play of colours in the water complements the blue of the Black Forest sky, which has virtually no boundaries thanks to a conservatory roof. Enjoy the many hours of sunshine in Höchenschwand on the pool terrace in the wellness area of the Hotel Alpenblick and simply have a good time.our saltwater pool is filled with Grander water. The water is brought to a very high and biologically valuable quality in a natural way via a special filter. The water quality is monitored using modern technology. The water is disinfected using an elaborate process of electrolysis of common salt and therefore without chlorine solution. Feel the pleasant sensation on your skin as you swim in the Black Forest salt water pool.

Taking a sauna contributes to your well-being in many ways. The skin is cleansed and cell regeneration is stimulated. In particular, the alternation of hot and cold through the cold water application after the sauna bath hardens and strengthens the body's defences. The heart and circulation are trained and blood flow is improved. Relax in our sauna area and feel the well-being after your sauna bath. In the Alpenblick Wellness Lounge, a variety of water, coffee, tea and fruit are available for you. In our relaxation areas you will also find your own personal favourite place to read, dream or simply unwind.

In our salt room, built from 20 tonnes of Himalayas from the Himalayan Mountains in Pakistan, a microclimate is created similar to that found in salt mines and by the sea. The air is virtually free of pollutants and saturated with valuable minerals. In addition, the air is enriched with negative ions and thus neutralised. The humidity of approx. 40 to 50 % facilitates rapid absorption of the salty air. Every breath provides valuable minerals and microelements, increases mental and physical performance and strengthens the body's defences. Take a seat on the comfortable loungers and let your mind wander. You will relax in no time and continue your day feeling refreshed. A specially customised light and sound system will make you forget everything around you. After just 45 minutes, you'll feel like you've spent a day by the sea.

When it comes to the idea of wellness, aerobic full-body training is the only effective form of exercise. Balanced fitness training helps with body awareness and is a good alternative in our fitness room with 6 cardio and 6 strength machines from TechnoGym when the weather doesn't lure you outside for your daily Nordic walking training. Appropriate exercise supplies us with enough vital oxygen and strengthens the cardiovascular system. Heart rate monitors are available at the wellness reception.

Every day, our wellness trainers explain the functions and training effects of the individual pieces of equipment during a briefing in the fitness room. You will find the date of the equipment briefing in the current Alpenblick Wellness Active programme.

Please note that children and young people under the age of 18 are not permitted in the fitness room. In front of the fitness room, in the Wellness Lounge, you will find the water and fruit station for a little refreshment in between.
